The Gift Shop

The gift shop has a collection of books that include travel guides, pictorials, landscapes, hiking in Wyoming, Western novels, and books about the
Union Pacific Railroad.

We also feature our local authors, including Rod Laird, Lori Van Pelt, Candy Moulton, C.J. Box
and Richard Perue.

Our shop offers children's books, old bottles,
horseshoes, railroad spikes, and a collection of Life Magazines from 1942-1964, Christmas ornaments, antique kitchen utensils and gift cards by local photographers depicting the
scenic surroundings of our valley.

The Study Area

Located in a quiet corner, our  research library  is warm and inviting. We have Platte Valley histories, Carbon County Territorial brand books, and audio and video living histories of local residents.

The winter of 1949 is one of the worst in our valley's history, and we have first hand accounts written by ranchers and their wives telling of the hardships they encountered.

We also have a large collection of Annals of Wyoming and Coutant's History of Wyoming.
