Summer Kid's Camps

at the Saratoga Museum Pavilion


All art/history camps are held outside on the lawn by the pavilion or at the pavilion.  All are scheduled for Wednesday afternoons from 1-2:30. Camps include a hands-on art project and a history lesson pertaining to the subject. Camps’ fees are $3.00 each and must be pre-registered 2 weeks in advance to make sure enough supplies are available.  Please make reservations and payment at the museum.


Denim pocket project: June 12th

Each student will receive a recycled denim pocket and provided with materials to decorate it into an artistic project.  Students will learn why denim was used for tough clothing for two very important careers in Wyoming.


Train Whistles project: July 10th

Students will receive a wooden train whistle to decorate and learn what each train whistle means.  Students will learn about the Saratoga and Encampment Railroad history and why it was important to the North Platte Valley.


Dancing Ribbons project: August 14th

This was the most popular art camp in 2018.  Students will create their own Native American powwow dancing instrument, learn about the music and ceremonies and actually dance to the music.  Students will learn about Native American symbols and why the ceremonies were so important to the Native American tribes of Wyoming.

Gema Pearl Concert

VIP "Meet and Greet" from 5:30PM to 7PM - $50 per ticket

This summer, kick up the magic in music with six-time Grammy nominated vocalist Gema Pearl! Gema Pearl belts out fresh sounds of outlaw country, Texas blues classic rock and new country woven with the finesse of symphonic charm.


Make a date to wine, dine and be entertained in beautiful Saratoga, Wyoming. General admission tickets are $25 per person; VIP "Meet and Greet" tickets are $50 per person and include appetizers and an open bar from 5:30pm to 7pm.


Doors open at 7:00pm; concert is at 7:30pm. Tickets are available for purchase at the Saratoga Museum, Laura M Gallery and the Platte Valley Community Center.  Concert to benefit the Saratoga Museum. Historic Trek - Exploring Saratoga's Cemeteries

Meet at 10am at the Saratoga Museum


Join Dick Perue for an engaging trek to the old Saratoga Cemetery, Mill, CCC camps and rodeo grounds. Chilly Rollison will add to the excursion with a discussion about the Native American aspect.


Please plan to meet at the Saratoga Museum at 10 and wear appropriate footwear and bring lunch and water.  We will stop at the Pavilion in the Saratoga Cemetery to rest, eat and share our thoughts and ask questions. Trek is by donation. Please contact the Museum at 307-326-5511 to sign up.



"Turnip the Beet" Farmer's Market & Craft Fair

at the Saratoga Museum


Stop by the Farmer's Market and Craft Fair at the Saratoga Museum for fresh produce and Wyoming crafts. This family-friendly, open-air market will run every Wednesday beginning July 3rd from 3 to 6pm. Vendor spaces are available for $10 per space. Call the Museum at 307-326-5511 to reserve a space.

Hunting for History

at the Saratoga Museum


A day of historical fun. You will learn about the North Platte Valley by using clues to find historical finds in the surrounding areas. Tickets need to be purchased in advance - $30 per family/or team of 4. Light lunch included. Event will start at 10am at the museum.

Join Dick Perue for a trek through the Ryan Park Ski area and learn about the Barrett International Ski Jump.
